Atlantic Salmon Recovery Plan
To help identify and guide species recovery needs, section 4(f) of the Endangered Species Act directs the Secretaries to develop and implement recovery plans for listed species. A recovery plan must include (1) a description of site-specific management actions necessary to conserve the species; (2) objective, measurable criteria that, when met, will allow the species to be removed from the endangered and threatened species list; and (3) estimates of the time and funding required to achieve the plan’s goals.
Atlantic Salmon Recovery Proposal Guidelines
(Note: This is not a funding proposal). The Atlantic Salmon Recovery Framework proposal format is outlined in the attached document. Proposals should be brief but contain all pertinent information. In addition, please attach a synopsis of your work. You may include other attachments as necessary (e.g. full proposal); however, the bulk of our review will focus on the proposal format as outlined below. Other attachments may include a full proposal and any supporting documents you wish to submit. Proposals should be submitted electronically to Christine.Lipsky@noaa.gov (NOAA Fisheries).
